Coil-fed laser blanking helps reduce setup time

Schuler Inc. has introduced laser blanking lines featuring DynamicFlow Technology. The machines combine coil-fed conventional press blanking with laser cutting.

For operations that process a variety of blanks, the technology offers flexibility that helps minimize setup time and maximize material utilization, according to the company.

Laser cutting eliminates the need for blanking dies. Multiple lasers move independently along a continuous flow of sheet metal while cutting the blanks.
