Press brake automation software flattens 3-D model for bending in one click

SigmaTEK offers SigmaBEND 3-D press brake automation software. Designed in partnership with some of the largest press brake manufacturers, the software takes a 3-D model or flat-pattern CAD drawing through tool selection and bend sequencing automatically. According to the company, it takes the guesswork out of running a press brake, including bend-by-bend reports for the shop floor.
With one click, the software flattens a 3-D model and readies it for bend processing. Using its database of material K-factors and an extensive tool catalog, the software applies the proper tool and die combinations for every part, including calculating station setup and detecting possible collisions. User input can prioritize different factors, and the software will produce several bend scenarios from which the user can choose.
Once the bends are sequenced, with another click, a flat-pattern DXF can be exported to be cut in SigmaNEST, an NC file sent to the press brake, and a shop floor report printed.
