Spinning lathes reproduce parts with precision

International Technologies Inc. offers the Premo series vertical spinning lathes from Abacus Maschinenbau. They feature a polymer concrete frame for improved vibration dampening, vertical main spindle for better flux, four-way tool revolver, laser-measured rollers, and an ergonomic design.

The metal spinning systems are powered by Beckhoff TwinCAT CNCs running Premo-Kompakt process-oriented software. Additional software packages and customized programming are available for the most advanced applications.

The machines use servo drives on all axes for high positioning accuracy and precise part reproducibility, the company states. Part diameter is 24 to 48 in., forming height is 20 to 28 in., and forming weight is 440 to 2,200 lbs. Pressing forces are 10 to 75 kN.
