3-D design software offers collaboration for large data sets

IronCAD has announced the availability of IronCAD Design Collaboration Suite (DCS) 2017 Product Update 1. According to the company, this update enhances the software’s performance when dealing with large assemblies, decreasing save times by 25 percent and speeding up graphical interaction by 45 percent.

The software has been upgraded to the latest modeling kernels and native translators for the industry’s newest formats. Users can choose bend allowance and bend deduction calculations to determine the flat length of sheet stock required to deliver the desired dimension of the bent part. The update has added support for bend deduction on the individual bend settings to give users additional control of their unfolds.

A new materials library has been added that lets users set parts with various material information and color properties for visual appearance.
