Accurate Die Design’s Logopress ProgSim progressive die forming simulation software runs inside SOLIDWORKS

Accurate Die Design Software Inc./Logopress has introduced a new product that runs inside of SOLIDWORKS and Logopress DieDesign software. According to the company, Logopress ProgSim is a cost-effective, easy-to-use, and highly accurate forming simulation software designed for small to medium-sized progressive die companies, even those without any prior FEA experience.

The software was developed using incremental simulation technology powered by the AutoForm solver. It gives progressive die designers rapid and accurate forming simulation of the progressive die process, including drawing, flanging, and forming operations, as well as springback. Users can gain insight into the forming process, including force prediction, and identify problems such as wrinkles, splits, and excessive thinning that might occur during the process. This knowledge of the forming process, revealed on the computer screen, expands the overall formability know-how of the entire design department and is also useful for estimators and diemakers, the manufacturer states.
