AutoRex automation system from ESAB helps maximize cutting safety

ESAB Welding & Cutting Products offers AutoRex, a fully enclosed thermal cutting system that works with any of its automated cutting machines. The machine is combined with a shuttle table for automated loading/unloading and surrounded by an enclosure that blocks UV light emissions and reduces noise. The ventilation system captures all cutting smoke inside the cabin.

The shuttle table system features dual pallets. When one plate comes out for part and skeleton removal, the new plate is ready for exchange and immediate cutting. Loading/unloading outside the enclosure isolates workers from the cutting zone and enables the use of a crane without interrupting the cutting operation. The self-cleaning system moves all slag outside the enclosure and into a bin.
