Mini flap discs offer threaded R mount

Weiler Abrasives Group has expanded its line of Tiger® BobCat mini flap discs and made design improvements to help extend the discs’ life to 1.5 times greater than original BobCat flap discs. The discs also now feature a threaded button R mount, as well as the current threaded arbor S mount, to fit a variety of backup pads.

The flap discs are suitable for grinding and finishing jobs in hard-to-reach areas and for weld blending and edge chamfering in metal fabrication. When the application calls for aggressive grinding, the flap discs are designed to shed cloth and expose new grain. They remove three times more material over the life of the disc than a comparable blending disc, the company says, and operate best on steel, stainless steel, structural steel, and cast iron.

Available in angled and flat styles, the discs are designed for use on right-angle die grinders.
