Norton Rapid Prep XHD discs offer single-step weld blending, grinding

Saint-Gobain Abrasives offers new Norton Rapid Prep™ XHD coarse and medium discs for aggressive stock removal and blending. The extra-heavy-duty, nonwoven discs remove weld lines, weld spatter, weld discoloration, and blend surfaces in a single step.

The coarse disc is suitable for surface blending on steels, while the medium disc works well on softer metals and alloys. Both combine a conformable fiber matrix and premium ceramic grain to help improve cut control and surface blending. The blended fiber web dissipates workpiece debris to help increase product life and shape integrity.
