The General Industrial Division of Sherwin-Williams has launched its first set of Powdura Eco powder coatings that use a polyester resin comprising 25% preconsumer recycled plastic. Each pound of the TGIC and TGIC-free coatings contains the equivalent of sixteen 16-oz. recycled plastic bottles.

The coatings are suitable for interior and exterior environments and various applications, including lawn equipment, transportation vehicles, consumer goods, electrical enclosures, and fixtures. They also can be customized to meet specification requirements. A variety of special effects and color/gloss options are available.
