Bystronic BySmart fiber laser cuts thin to medium-thickness sheet simply, quickly

Bystronic has introduced a new, next-generation BySmart Fiber laser cutting machine, designed to laser-cut parts from thin to medium-thickness sheet metal in the simplest, quickest, most cost-effective manner, the company reports.

The machine platform delivers up to four times faster cutting speeds than CO2 or plasma and uses less than half the operating costs per hour, according to the manufacturer. It features a dual rack-and-pinion bridge design, a cutting head autofocus and focal length spot size adjustment, high machine dynamics even when cutting complex contours, and a ByVision user interface with full 22-in. touchscreen.
