nLIGHT’s 3-kW industrial fiber laser offers compact format

nLIGHT® Inc. has introduced a compact, 3-kW fiber laser. Previously available at 2 kW and 2.5 kW, the new model adds 20 percent more output power while maintaining a compact format.

Designed to withstand harsh industrial environments, the unit features hardware protection against back reflections to enable uninterrupted processing of reflective metals, a high modulation rate and power stability, and rapid field serviceability, the manufacturer states.
