nLIGHT’s Corona CFX-5000 delivers 5 kW

nLIGHT® Inc. has introduced the Corona™ CFX-5000, an all-fiber laser with programmable beam characteristics that offer speed with superior thick metal edge quality, the company states.

The user can tune the size and shape of the output beam, choosing from small-diameter, top-hat beams or large-diameter, doughnut-shaped beams based on the needs of their application. This beam tuning is done in real time with the laser operating at full power.
