Software feature helps create clean pierce point in laser cutting

Laserdyne’s new SmartPierce™ feature, offered in the S94P high-speed laser cutting system, creates a clean pierce point that is the same diameter as the cut width. This eliminates splatter of molten material around the pierce location to help ensure a consistent, smooth entry point.

The feature is suitable for use in applications from thick to thin metal. The need for cleaning the cutout area after laser cutting is eliminated.
