TRUMPF offers the TruLaser 5030 fiber, equipped with the 10-kW TruDisk, to process mild steel up to 1.2 in., stainless steel up to 1.5 in., and aluminum up to 1.2 in. The machine’s patented Highspeed Eco cutting technology helps minimize assist gas consumption using the company’s patented touchdown nozzle.

The machine processes complex contours and thin to thick sheets. The BrightLine fiber, CoolLine, and PierceLine functions help ensure high-quality laser processing in thicker materials. The Drop&Cut feature lets operators use part skeletons for additional production. They see a live image of the machine’s interior on the control unit’s user interface. From the control unit, the operator clicks or taps the screen to drag the programmed contour to the desired location on the projected sheet and initiates the cut.

The Smart Nozzle Automation cleans and inspects the nozzle before use. The new QuickSwap feature lets operators replenish nozzles during the cutting process without interruption via a drawer that extends outside of the machine. This helps minimize setup time and operator intervention.
