Heidenhain ND 5023 digital readout designed for manually operated machine tools
Heidenhain has introduced the new ND 5023 digital readout (DRO) for use with manually operated machine tools. It replaces the entry-level ND 522/523 models and consolidates them into one 3-axis product. The DRO comes equipped with a TFT color display that helps improve the readability of the information displayed over older models.
An installation guide is included in the DRO to offer support during setup. A straightforward user management has been introduced to simplify operation by multiple users. Up to nine operators can save their personal settings with a user number.
The new, dynamic zoom feature offers a noticeable improvement in position value readability. Once activated, the display value for the axis currently being moved is magnified. When the axis stops moving, the display returns to its standard size.
