Lynx 2100LY compact turning center from Doosan includes variety of toolholders
Doosan Machine Tools offers the Lynx 2100LY series of compact turning centers with Y axis. Features include a variety of toolholders (both static and live tools), a tool setter, a parts catcher, and a parts conveyor.
The compact machine incorporates a new, 15-kW (20-HP) spindle that rotates at 4,500 RPM and offers a larger turning capacity. The additional Y axis and optional subspindle help simplify machining of parts with diverse and complex shapes.
Other standard features include a 12-station, servo-driven BMT tool turret with a half-index feature (24 positions), Easy Operation Package (EOP) software, and a CNC tailstock.
The machine offers a rigid bed structure and roller-type LM guides for all axes. It is available in both a 6- and 8-in. chuck size to accommodate a maximum turning diameter of 11.8 in. and a maximum turning length of 20 in.
