DURAFLEX friction cups from Piab help reduce product droppage

Piab offers DURAFLEX® friction cups for gripping oily and wet surfaces and reducing product droppage. Their grip pattern enables operators to move slippery metal goods without slowing production lines, the company states.

The cups feature a rough cleat surface and sharp cleat edges and channels. This design increases friction and creates a strong hold on heavy and slippery sheets during acceleration and deceleration, especially in the instance of emergency stoppages.

To prevent damage to the surface of thin metal sheets, the cups feature a dual-hardness design and soft cup body. The soft lip molds to curved surfaces for reduced vacuum leakage.
