Heated wire automatically cuts end of stretch wrap

TAB Industries Hot Wire Cutting System

TAB Industries LLC has introduced a Hot Wire Cutting System for its TAB Wrapper Tornado line of orbital wrapping machines. The optional system automatically cuts the end of the stretch wrap after pallet wrapping by drawing a heated metal wire through the plastic film, then conceals the wire for quick cooling.

The new design, which replaces the standard design that uses a blade, is available on the company’s standard, semiautomated, and fully automated orbital wrappers and can be retrofitted on machines in the field.
