Orion S-Carriage helps improve stretch-wrapper efficiency

Orion Packaging Systems, a division of ProMach, has introduced the newly redesigned S-Carriage InstaThread Pre-stretch Film Carriage. At the heart of the design are two prestretched rollers. Film travels in an S pattern around the rollers, providing more than 180 degrees of film contact to help reduce slippage and neckdown. The result is a consistent prestretch of 260% at different tensions and 1 in. less neckdown for fast wrapping and improved film yield, the manufacturer reports.

To load a new roll of film, the operator opens the dual lock carriage door, pulls the film through the middle of the rollers, and closes the door.
