Pintsch Bubenzer offers BRBe electric wheel brake for cranes

Pintsch Bubenzer offers an environmentally friendly electric wheel brake—the BRBe—for electric overhead traveling cranes at ports, steel mills, and other heavy-duty applications.

The brake is available for cranes with wheels from 19.68 to 39.37 in. dia. and wheel flange widths from 6.29 to 10 in. It also is suitable for steel mill outside service cranes and stacker and bulk storage cranes.

The most common sizes are the BRBe70, with 56,000-N braking force (70-kN contact force), and the BRBe90, with 72,000-N braking force (90-kN contact force). The brake can be sized up or down based on the application, adapted to the bolt pattern of existing wheel brakes, or retrofitted to a new application.
