3-D printable tool steel introduced

NanoSteel® has launched its first product for the laser powder bed fusion additive manufacturing process. BLDRmetal™ L-40 is a case-hardening steel powder that provides high hardness and ductility (case hardness greater than70 HRC, 10+ percent core elongation) and prints on standard commercial equipment.

It is designed to be used for creating crack-free, high-hardness parts such as tools, dies, bearings, and gears.
