Polymeric metal material repairs equipment on-site

Stronghold Coatings has introduced MM1018, a polymeric metal material that provides 100 percent force fit gap compensation for the repair of process equipment and structures, as well as railways, steel bridges, power plants and utility construction projects, offshore drilling rigs, and wind turbines.

The repair product provides 100 percent volume restoration inside the gap between bearing and construction without machining of back plate and face plate. It combines high compressive and shear strength, vibration damping, and long-term corrosion protection in extreme service conditions. The product also resists weathering and aging, gasoline, oils, coolants, acids, and lye.

It can be applied on-site, even at height, using casting or injection. It is suitable for process piping, process equipment, and other critical in-plant structures.
