Manual plasma cutting packages introduced

- Plasma Cutting
ESAB Welding & Cutting Products has introduced two new manual plasma cutting packages. According to the manufacturer, both machines deliver high cutting speeds and thickness capabilities, as well as high duty cycle ratings.
The 32-lb. PowerCut 400 has a manual cutting capacity of up to 0.375 in. and severs up to 0.5 in. Maximum piercing capacity is 0.1875 in. The 47-lb. PowerCut 700 has a manual cutting capacity of up to 0.625 in. and severs up to 0.875 in. with a maximum piercing capacity of 0.3125 in.
The external housing resists corrosion and weather but remains lightweight for portability. Both units are compatible with engine-driven welding machines when power is not accessible in the field.
The voltage booster assists in finishing cuts on thick material. Sensitive internal electronics are suspended from the frame, insulating them from shock and vibration.
The machines work with the manufacturer's PT-38 and PT-39 torches, as well as the PT-37 torch for mechanized cutting applications.
