Wilson Tool International’s QuickTap tapping tool available in D station size

Wilson Tool International® has announced that the QuickTap™ tapping tool is available for the D station as well as the previously available C station size.Manufactured for thick-turret punch press machines, the tool runs in the punch press, allowing users to eliminate secondary hole-threading operations.

The tool taps a threaded hole with every machine stroke, at up to 200 holes/min. It can create strong, accurate threads at any programmed location on the sheet. Shavings from machine tapping are reduced or eliminated.

The built-in tapping fluid injection system is synchronized with the machine stroke to help reduce wear and breakage. Its large tank enables the tapping of up to 40,000 holes before refilling.
