Circular saw designed for fabricators, emergency services
- January 20, 2009
- Product Release
- Sawing
Designed for mild steel, stainless, and aluminum, the SteelMax S9 9.25-in metal cutting circular saw cuts metal cool and clean without burring, heat distortion, or sparking. Featuring a 45-degree beveling capability, the S9's powerful 15-amp motor operates at 2,700 rotations per minute. Blades are TCT carbide design and can replace the Jaws of Life to remove auto roofs in seconds, cut through bars on windows, or make long straight cuts in heavy structural steel, I beams, stainless, and aluminum.
The circular saw is suited for a variety of metal cutting applications, including tubing, pipe, floor grating, angle iron, plate steel to -in. depth, and corrugated metal roofing. An efficient blade cover collects virtually all chips and sparks. A retracting blade guard not only protects the blade from damage, but also serves as a safety feature for users. Weighing only 20 pounds, other features include a 25mm arbor bore, 9-in. blade diameter, blade Laser Guide, and an adjustable depth of cut up to 3 3/8 in. The saw is sold complete with eye and ear protection, carrying case, mild steel blade, and edge guide.
