Horizontal band saw features servo-driven precision downfeed control

Behringer Saws Inc. offers the HBE Dynamic series horizontal band saw. The compact automatic saw features a servo-driven precision downfeed control that adjusts blade pressure automatically, creating a balance of feed rate and pressure to help improve quality and cutting rates and extend blade life, the company states. An electrically powered ball screw-driven material feed gripper eliminates backlash and helps improve material positioning accuracy.

The saw also features an optional automatic feed control, which adjusts cutting parameters such as blade speed and downfeed rate to the material grade and shape. This allows operators to create flexible material programs leveraging cutting data based on specific material grade. The operator can view a fault/alert history at any time.

Four models are available to handle round stock from 10.2 to 20.0 in. dia. and flat stock from 11.8 by 10.2 in. to 20.0 by 20.0 in. Stroke length is 25.6 in., and blade speed is from 50 to 350 FPM.
