Kasto Maschinenbau’s KASTOwin tube A 5.0 performs sawing upward from support surface

Kasto offers the KASTOwin tube A 5.0 fully automatic band sawing machine for tubular material. It cuts round tubes up to 19.7 in., with a shortest possible cutting length of 0.39 in.

The direction of movement of the saw feed is rotated through 180 degrees, and sawing is performed upward from the support surface. This helps ensure precise sawing with improved chip flow and reduced cutting tool wear.

With the frequency-controlled drive, cutting speed can be adjusted continuously between 39.4 and 492.1 FPM. The carbide saw band is clamped in position hydraulically and cleaned using a replaceable, electrically driven chip-removal brush. The vise and saw feed are equipped with zero-play linear guides, and ball screw spindle drives help ensure controlled cutting and material feed movements.
