Saw blades customized to application requirements
Controx Inc. has introduced precision saw blades designed for use with Hydromat machines. Available in 6.5 and 9.8 in. dia., these cobalt steel (HSS-Co) saw blades feature an axial runout of 0.004 in. to help ensure a straight cut and minimize the breakage rate.
The firm stocks untoothed saw blade blanks which are customized for particular applications. The number of teeth and the toothform help minimize burrs and improve service life. Available fine-, medium-, and coarse-pitch toothing styles include angular, angular with alternating chamfers, rounded, rounded with alternating chamfers, and triplechip. PVD and CVD coatings are available.
The blades are suitable for use on thin- and thick-walled pipes and profiles, extrusions, abrasive materials, and high-tensile materials.
