Personal air-conditioning vest helps workers avoid heat stress

Vortec personal air-conditioning vests circulate cool air to minimize temperature-related stress and fatigue for workers. They are suitable for use in foundries, paint and welding shops, and smelters, as well as outdoor tasks during summer months.

A vortex tube reduces the temperature of the air circulating through the vests, which diffuses the airflows around the worker’s torso. The circulating air is up to 60 degrees F cooler than ambient, keeping workers cool even in oppressive environments.

The plasticized vests are available in three sizes and provide continuous cooled or warmed air through the perforated lining. They do not restrict movement, do not absorb sweat or other contaminants, and can be worn under other protective clothing.
