Pro-face Connect HMI service allows secure, remote machine access

Pro-face America has released Pro-face Connect, a ready-to-use, embedded HMI service. It allows users to access machines remotely and securely from anywhere at any time for programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance.

By adding the Link Manager license, users can expand their abilities to manage other devices connected to the HMI, including PLCs.

The HMI service follows a Secure Development Lifecycle process, which includes penetration tests, threat model analysis, and strict requirements from the cybersecurity committee of Schneider Electric, Pro-face’s parent company. This process allows the service to be compliant with industry-level standards for security, making it suitable for managing multiple machines at multiple locations.
