Smart MechatroniX products from Bosch Rexroth allow quick commissioning

Bosch Rexroth has developed the Smart MechatroniX platform, which combines linear motion technology components with electronics and software. The products allow quick commissioning and offer full process transparency to help ensure a short time to market and high productivity, the company reports.

The Smart Function Kit offers quick, intuitive commissioning and configuration for such processes as joining, pressing, and handling. It works according to the plug-and-produce principle by combining preselected mechanical and electronic components with software. This modular toolbox comprises an electromechanical cylinder, force sensor, motor, servo drive, motion controller, and software.

A second package—the Smart Function Kit for handling tasks—currently is being prepared. It is a single- or multiaxis system suitable for handling tasks in which components or workpieces must be moved precisely and reliably within a defined space.
