Surface preparation laser machine offers 6- by 13-ft. flatbed

Fonon Technologies Inc. has released CleanTech™ Titan. Marketed under the Laser Photonics™ brand, the industrial-grade laser machine is used for surface preparation, paint removal, and surface cleaning. It is available with a stationary flatbed up to 6 by 13 ft.

The large format allows for applications such as nonabrasive cleaning of automotive tire rims, molds, phlanges for the oil and gas industry, and sheets for a hull.

Features include a direct-drive motion system, an integrated laser and cooling system, and a mean time between failures of 100,000 hours.
