TAB Perfect Storm automated wrapping system offered in new sizes

TAB Industries LLC has introduced its fully automated Perfect Storm wrapping system in two new models. Previously offered with a 100-in. wrapping ring as standard to accommodate 60- by 60-in. pallets, it now is offered with 40- and 80-in. wrapping rings to accommodate 24- by 24-in. and 48- by 48-in. pallets. Custom sizes for wrapping oversized products also are available.

The system continuously conveys pallet loads into the wrapping ring and wraps them in plastic film 360 degrees around and under the pallet to create a secure, unitized load that stays intact during storage and transportation. Sensors monitor, stage, and control pallet feeding, wrapping, and discharge. A PLC enables a single operator to manage the operation, wrapping pallet loads in as little as 15 seconds per pallet, states the manufacturer.
