Two 3-D printing systems handle prototyping to mass production

Desktop Metal has introduced two 3-D printing systems that cover prototyping to mass production.

The DM Studio system is an office-friendly unit for rapid prototyping. It includes a printer and a microwave-enhanced sintering furnace that deliver complex-geometry, 3-D-printed metal parts in an engineer’s office or on the shop floor. The system requires no hazardous powders, lasers, or cutting tools to operate. It uses the proprietary Bound Metal Deposition process to produce repeatable parts and can support hundreds of different metal alloys.

The DM Production system uses proprietary Single Pass Jetting technology to mass produce high-resolution metal 3-D printed parts at scale.
