Walter Cut GX34 grooving inserts provide stable grooving operations

Walter has introduced the Walter Cut GX34 double-edged grooving inserts for deep grooving and parting off up to a diameter of 2.56 in. These inserts, which can be used in monoblock tools as well as grooving tools with a reinforced blade, are suitable for deep grooves and large tool projections.

The grooving inserts are clamped with screws for stable grooving. The inserts are 1.34 in. long and 0.118 to 0.158 in. wide, making them suitable for larger-diameter workpieces and turret-style machines. Large corner radii of 0.012 and 0.16 in. lend stability. The insert length and a V-shaped insert guide in the insert pocket of the holder contribute to parallelism and stable clamping.
