GOM ScanCobot from Capture 3D combines cobot, blue light 3D scanners

Capture 3D offers the GOM ScanCobot, a mobile, automated 3D scanning system that integrates with GOM’s ATOS Q and ATOS Core blue light 3D scanners. With the help of the system’s software, users with no robotics programming experience can create efficient automation routines that produce precise, accurate, and repeatable measurement results, the company states.

The system includes a motorized rotation table; a PC for rapid 3D data processing; and software for 3D scanning, inspection, and automation. With dimensions of 975 by 755 mm and a working height of 1,000 mm, the portable measuring station fits in small spaces.

With the ability to automatically inspect and digitize parts weighing up to 50 kg with maximum diameter of 500 mm and maximum height of 500 mm, the system is suitable for quality control of small to medium-sized parts.
