Hexagon’s Inspire software presents new features for portable measurement, analysis

Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division has launched the latest version of Inspire inspection software, designed to handle a variety of metrology applications with the ease of use of a hand-held tablet or iPad. This version includes additional GD&T improvements, enhanced point cloud meshing for scanned data, and powerful feature-extraction capabilities, the company states.

The software integrates with the company’s Absolute Scanner AS1 and Absolute laser trackers and portable measuring arms, as well as other metrology devices in the marketplace.

The software offers a new delete noise function to rapidly delete outlier data in point clouds, added measurement triggers, and more data import and export options. It also allows users to create cross-sections of a point cloud without the need for a CAD model.
