System provides 3-D digitization of industrial components
Aicon 3D Systems has introduced PrimeScan, an entry-level system for 3-D digitization of industrial components. It works with the manufacturer’s OptoCat software and uses the same algorithms of point clouds with the same data quality as the StereoScan and SmartScan scanner lines.
The base area of the system is equal to a DIN A4 sheet, and the scanner weighs 6.6 lbs. It measures fields from 1.97 to 39.37 in. Camera resolutions of 2, 5, or 8 megapixel are available.
The system is equipped with blue-light technology for industrial applications or white-light technology for scanning with additional color information.
