X-ray inspection cabinet automated with robot

VisiConsult X-ray Systems & Solutions GmbH has introduced the XRH111+Robot, a combination of the XRH111 cabinet for comprehensive X-ray inspection of small to medium-size parts and an ABB robot. Its modular setup allows manual inspection, automated defect recognition, and computed tomography in a single unit.

The system can be placed directly at the production line to take parts from a tray or conveyor belt and place them inside the cabinet. It offers 100 percent 3-D analysis of the parts. Typical checks are wall thickness analysis, porosity analysis, and nominal-actual comparison.
