WARDJet’s Move™ waterjet motion control software responds like a tablet
- April 9, 2018

- Waterjet Cutting
WARDJet has introduced Move™ motion control software for its X-series and A-series waterjets. It is designed to be used like a tablet.
The software offers drag-and-drop part loading with multitouch CNC motion control. Users can rotate parts onscreen with their fingers and zoom into the cutting area. With multiple parts loaded on the table, users can see part and overall cut time and rearrange part queue position while cutting.
Any position on the table can be captured, saved, and revisited with a tap. A visual marker system allows easy recall of the position on the waterjet table. The radial parts menu provides quick access to mirror, rotate, delete, reset, and lock parts on the table. An array feature allows multiple instances of the same part.
The software is 5-axis capable without additional plug-ins or upgrades. The Master Z-Height button controls the vertical motion of multiple head with one touch. The user can individually control I/O outputs, such as water and abrasive, for each head.
Color-coded notifications provide updates on the project and the health of the waterjet machine. The software accepts standard G-Code and automatically creates backups of the files needed to run the machine to help minimize downtime in the event of a failure.
