Lincoln Electric hosts Girl Scouts for STEM learning event
Cleveland-based Lincoln Electric teamed up with the Girl Scouts of Northeast Ohio for a STEM learning program on Oct. 4, designed to introduce many of the girls to the welding and manufacturing fields.
Girl Scout Cadettes in grades 6, 7, and 8 met with some of the women who help run Lincoln Electric, and also experienced hands-on virtual reality welding on the VRTEX welding system. About 65 girls from eight counties in northeast Ohio participated in the event.
