Lincoln Electric names executive VP/CIO

The Lincoln Electric Co., Cleveland, a manufacturer of arc welding products, robotic arc welding systems, plasma and oxyfuel cutting equipment, and brazing and soldering alloys, has promoted Michele R. Kuhrt to executive vice president and CIO, effective July 1, 2016. She joined the company in 1997 as director of taxes and was elected as a company officer and senior vice president, tax in 2006.

Before joining the company, Kuhrt was with Elsag Bailey Process Automation (a unit of ABB) and Pricewaterhouse Coopers. She has a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in accountancy from Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management and is a CPA.
