Taylor-Winfield’s director of technology and product development wins AWS award

Robert P. Matteson, director of technology and product development at Taylor-Winfield Technologies Inc., Youngstown, Ohio, has received the Counselor Award from the American Welding Society (AWS). The award is presented annually to individual members for a career of outstanding accomplishments and contributions to the welding industry.
In his more than 40 years at Taylor-Winfield, Matteson has made significant contributions to product innovation and development while serving in senior technical and management positions. His commitment to the welding industry includes active participation in the AWS and the Resistance Welding Manufacturers Alliance (RWMA) as a committee member and instructor. In 2011 Matteson was awarded AWS Life Membership for his more than 35 years of active participation in the organization.
Taylor-Winfield, a part of The Brilex Group of Companies, is a provider of simple to complex material joining machines, material handling systems for steel production and processing, and automated assembly systems for parts production.
