Airgas to build two air separation production facilities
Radnor, Pa.-based Airgas, an Air Liquide company, has announced plans to build two new air separation units (ASUs) for bulk gas production near Minneapolis and in Fairless Hills, Pa. Both facilities are expected to be on-stream in 2020.
Each ASU will produce oxygen, nitrogen, and argon for use in metal fabrication, blanketing and purging, combustion enhancement, and food chilling and freezing, as well as medical-grade oxygen and food- and pharmaceutical-grade nitrogen.
