Preco to supply multilaser development to laser training center in Brazil
Preco Inc., Somerset, Wis., has received an order for an SL-8600 hybrid laser/GMAW system from the Brazilian Senai Institute of Laser Innovation,Joinville, Santa Catarina, Brazil.
Senai, a private nonprofit technical training organization, is chartered to raise industrial competitiveness by promoting innovation and offering technological solutions for the development of products and processes,specifically working with laser welding, additive manufacturing, and surface hardening.
The laser system includes two high-powered lasers, one 10-kW disk laser, and one 6-kWdiode laser. The system can perform hybrid laser welding, additive manufacturing, and surface and heat treatment.
