AC/DC inverter-based GTAW power source introduced

Lincoln Electric has introduced the Aspect 375 GTAW power source for use in critical welding applications.

The constant-current SMAW and GTAW machine provides GTAW output of 2 to 375 amps (single-phase range is 2 to 250 amps). It is rated at 330 amps at 40 percent duty cycle and 300 amps at 60 percent duty cycle.

According to the manufacturer, the unit provides superior arc stability at all amperage levels. Its AC Auto-Balance® technology automatically adjusts cleaning and penetration levels during aluminum welding. Intellistart™ technology can be activated for automatic control of arc-starting intensity, allowing soft arc starting on thin materials and hotter arc-starting characteristics on thicker materials.
