ESAB Tweco PullMaster2 push/pull GMAW gun designed for aluminum welding

ESAB brand Tweco has launched the PullMaster2 push/pull GMAW pistol-grip gun. Its angled cable-to-gun connection and ball-and-socket strain relief help enhance balance and reduce perceived cable weight. The short-stroke trigger provides easy activation, while the aluminum unibody reduces gun weight.

Because improper drive roll tension deforms soft aluminum wires and leads to feeding problems, the gun features an internal preset drive roll tension mechanism that reduces the risk of deforming the wire while helping to ensure positive feeding performance. The drive rolls are electrically insulated to prevent microarcing, a common source of performance problems.

The gun feeds wire diameters from 0.030 to 0.052 in., has a rated duty cycle of 60% using mixed gas, is available with 20- or 33-ft. cable length, and uses standard Tweco 16APS standard contact tips.
