Lincoln offers high-silicon GTAW cut lengths in three alloys
Lincoln Electric® has introduced GTAW cut lengths in high-silicon formulations in three common stainless steel alloys: ER308Si/308LSi for 304 or 304L stainless steels and 18-8 steels, ER309Si/309LSi for joining stainless steel to mild or low-alloy steel, and ER316Si/316LSi for added corrosion resistance on molybdenum-bearing austenitic stainless steels.
The high silicon levels deliver an improved fluid puddle and toe wetting, a very clean surface treatment to help improve bead stacking consistency and reduce inclusions in the weld, and AWS classification information inkjet-printed on the entire length of the rod.
