Quip-Tip contact tip from American Weldquip stays tight in the diffuser

American Weldquip has introduced the Quip-Tip contact tip, which features dual taper mating surfaces. The increased tip-to-diffuser electrical contact helps improve arc start characteristics. In addition, the increased surface contact helps pull the heat quickly from the contact tip.

The dual start thread allows for less than two turns when installing or removing the contact tip. The tip is designed to stay tight in the diffuser between the heating and cooling cycles and wire vibration through the contact tip.
