Welding machine available in one-, three-phase versions

ESAB Welding & Cutting Products offers the Rebel™ EMP 285ic multiprocess welding machine for GMAW, FCAW, DC SMAW, and GTAW. The 70-lb. unit will be available in two versions starting in 2018.

The one-phase model, which accepts 90 to 270 V primary power, provides a rated output of 285 amps at 40 percent duty cycle and maximum output of 300 amps/36 V. It will be available in late January. The three-phase model, which accepts 380 to 575 V primary, provides a rated output of 285 amps at 50 percent duty cycle and maximum output of 350 amps/36 V. It will be available at the end of March.
